How much do aligners cost in Bulgaria in 2026?
At SF Dent aligner treatment costs from €1687.26 for one arch with a short plan of up to 3 months (Clear X Easy) to €5010.66 for both arches with treatment over 12 months (Clear X Max). The exact price depends on how far the teeth need to move, for how long, and whether one or both jaws are treated, and it is set after an examination and a digital plan.
Aligner prices in Bulgaria vary between clinics and systems, so here we show only SF Dent's price list and explain what is behind each figure. If you are still choosing a method, first read the comparison "Aligners or braces: which should you choose?". For the treatment itself, see the clear aligners page.
In short:
- The first step is a treatment plan with a simulation: €230.00 with K Clear and €282.00 with Clear X.
- The treatment itself is priced by system, duration and number of arches.
- The price list also has a retainer and a remake of the trays if one is needed.
What does the price of aligners depend on?
Aligners are not an off-the-shelf product with one price. Each set of trays is made from a digital model of your teeth and a plan that sets every movement. The price depends mainly on four things:
- How complex the case is. Slight crowding of the front teeth needs fewer trays than correcting the bite.
- Duration. The more months the treatment lasts, the more trays are made and the more check-ups there are.
- One or two arches. Sometimes treating only the upper or only the lower jaw is enough. Treating both arches costs more.
- The system. At the clinic we work with K Clear and Clear X. They have different plans and a different simulation.
How much do the treatment plan and simulation cost?
Before treatment starts, the dentist takes a digital impression and makes a plan with a simulation of how the teeth will move. With K Clear this is a 3D simulation and costs €230.00. With Clear X the plan includes a 4D simulation with Motion Viewer and costs €282.00. The plan is a separate line in the price list. Ask at the consultation whether this amount is deducted from the treatment price.
The simulation gives you a clear picture before you pay for the treatment itself. You see how far the teeth can move, how many trays will be needed and roughly how many months the treatment will take.

Why is a short treatment cheaper?
Short plans are for minor corrections, for example a slightly displaced front tooth or a small gap between teeth. They need fewer trays and fewer visits. Clear X Easy for one arch costs €1687.26, and K Clear Smile Design costs €1763.96. If the case needs more movement, though, a short plan will not give a good result. That is why the dentist chooses the plan from the simulation, not from the budget.
What else might you need to pay for?
Besides the treatment itself, the price list has a few related services:
- Retainer. After any orthodontic treatment the teeth have to be held in their new position. A fixed lingual retainer costs €155.00.
- Aligner remake. If the teeth do not move as planned, for example because the trays were not worn enough, a new set may be needed. A remake costs €230.00.
- Treatment before aligners. Decay, old fillings or gum problems are treated before starting. These are paid separately according to the price list.
Before you start, ask for a written list of what your plan includes and which services are paid separately. That way there are no surprises during treatment.
Does the health fund cover aligners?
No. Orthodontic treatment with aligners is not part of the package of dental services paid for by the NHIF (НЗОК). The adult package includes an examination, fillings and extractions. You can read more about what the fund covers on the dentist under the NHIF page.
How can you avoid paying more than you need to?
The most expensive thing with aligners is treatment that takes longer than planned. Here is what is up to you:
- Wear the trays about 22 hours a day. The American Association of Orthodontists gives this as the minimum wear time. If the trays are not worn enough, the teeth fall behind the plan.
- Change trays on the schedule your dentist sets, not earlier and not later.
- Come to the check-ups, so that a tray that does not fit is caught in time.
- Keep the trays in their case when they are not in your mouth. A lost tray delays treatment.
- Wear the retainer after treatment ends, so you do not need new treatment years later.
Aligners or braces: which is better value?
Comparing on price alone is misleading, because the two methods do not suit the same cases. For mild and moderate corrections aligners give a predictable result with fewer restrictions in daily life. In complex cases braces are often the safer choice. The comparison of results, comfort and duration is in the article "Aligners or braces: which should you choose?".
What should you do next?
If you are considering aligners, start with an examination. The examination costs €30.00. After it the dentist will tell you whether your case is suitable and propose a plan with a simulation, from which you will learn the exact price. Book on +359 87 666 2785 or read more about aligner treatment at SF Dent. The clinic is at 22 Elemag St in Izgrev and is open Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00.

In the price list the treatment plan with simulation is a separate line: €230.00 for K Clear and €282.00 for Clear X. Ask at the consultation, before you start, whether this amount is deducted from the treatment price.
Why do aligner prices differ between clinics?

A fixed lingual retainer costs €155.00 on the clinic's price list. The retainer holds the teeth in their new position after treatment ends. Which retainer suits you is decided by your dentist.

No. Aligner treatment is not in the NHIF package of dental services. The adult package covers an examination once a year and up to three treatments, such as fillings and extractions. Aligners are paid in full according to the price list.
